Xiong and Shin Nie are one of the warmest and kindest souls we’ve ever had the honor to meet. The bride was precise on what she envisioned her wedding to be from the get-go and the groom was most obliging so it was simply a matter of piecing all the elements together. Their wedding celebration was spread across 5 occasions on 5 different dates. The ballroom of Majestic Hotel was beautifully transformed by Rainforest Weddings with team of 40 who flew down from Bangkok. We proposed a DIY Potpourri Bar ℙ with custom home scents which was a total hit with the guests. Keeping in theme with Le Jardin, the bespoked potpourri bar housed an assortment of dried flowers and leaves, spices and trinkets for guests to build their own potpourri. Xiong and Nie’s wedding menu was specially curated for both pre-cocktail and dinner reception by upscaling favourite street snacks and reinventing childhood favourites. Our Malaysian ‘gerai’ got an upgrade to all- white, modern stalls fitted with hand drawn illustrated signages. For the dinner, they incorporated their Hakka and Hokkien staples into the menu. We specially curated a modern dessert bar inspired by Asian flavours. Their #tiantianainie’s super sweet dessert bar had 40 varieties of desserts spread across round, semi circle and curved tables with a total length of 32-feet. We could not resist placing some cute food puns inspired by Shin Nie’s punny food IG “fattering”. After the dinner, guests adjourned to the upper floor for the afterparty.
